The Popularization of City IDcode Identification Was Officially Launched in China

"Value top-level design, light bottom implementation", the coding systems are not uniform, data are not interoperable, applications are incompatible in different departments and industries, which are the key factors affecting the construction of smart cities and the high-quality development of cities. The City IDcode Identification System is the infrastructure of smart city construction, and the smart city code identification system is researched and designed based on the first global top-level node code MA in China, which is in accordance with ISO/IEC 15459 international standard. Each city and urban management object will be assigned a unique global digital identification code-IDcode. For example: The city code of Shijiazhuang is MA.156.1301, under the city code for each elements assigned a unique digital identification, for example: Shijiazhuang urban management bureau identification code is MA.156.1301.01, traffic management department identification code is MA.156.1301.02, the identification code of traffic light managed by traffic department is MA.156.1301.02/3655010401, and the category code of the automatic signal device at intersection is MA.156.1301.02/ 3655010403, the code of an automatic signal device at the intersection is MA.156.1301.02/3655010403/1212. The application of IDcode realizes the unification and standardization of the identification codes of various elements of the city from the "root", so as to effectively promote the solution of many problems such as the disunity of the identification of various industries in the city, the incompatibility of applications and the difficulty of data sharing, and accelerate the construction of smart cities.

The intelligent City IDcode Identification System is independently developed, distributed and managed by China, based on blockchain technology, with unified issuing rules, distributed storage analysis, and non-tampering characteristics, not only to achieve the interconnectivity and data sharing between the elements within the city, but also to promote the large-scale interconnection of the various elements between cities, which is an innovative practice to promote the combination of blockchain underlying technical services and new smart city construction.
