IoT Code Identification Naming System Seminar

On August 24, 2019, a sub-forum of the 2019 International Two-Dimensional Code Industry Development Summit -- IoT Code Identification Naming System Seminar was held in Foshan, Guangdong. It was sponsored by UTC Global, and addressed by Guo Yanyan, former leader of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of P.R.China. Representatives from the Next Generation Internet Union, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, China Electronics Standardization Institute, China Institute of Integrated Aeronautical Technology and other institutions attended the seminar.

According to Zhang Chao, Executive Director of UTC Global, IDbrand is the “digital ID card” of organizations in the era of the Internet of Everything, and the universal identification language of organizations in the development of global economic integration. Generally speaking, IDbrand is the identification domain name of organizations, persons, things, and objects, and the “digital trademark” of organizations. It is usually presented in combination with a carrier such as a two-dimensional code or an RFID. IDbrand is in essence the digital asset of organizations.

With the continuous advancement of the new round of scientific and technological revolution and the era of intelligent Internet of Everything, global industrial value chains and trade order are undergoing profound changes. The importance of organizations’ digital identity and digital identification in the process of global economic integration is increasingly prominent. The digital resources and digital asset management of organizations are also becoming more important. IDbrand is a technical mechanism to name, confirm authentic right, protect and manage the digital identity and digital assets of organizations. It is proposed based on the wide application of IDcode (an integral part of ISO/ISE 15459), with “MA” as its starting character. IDbrand is unique, versatile, visible, identifiable, etc.

IDbrand can be applied to different carriers and various scenarios such as two-dimensional code, RFID and industrial internet logo. It is widely used in trade circulation, intelligent manufacturing, network security, product traceability, urban management, social services, medicine, food and other fields.
