Two-dimensional code technology and application personnel training system initially formed

At the 2019 International Two-Dimensional Code Industry Development Summit held on August 23, 2019 in Nanhai District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, UTC Global released China’s first “New Method for Training Talents for Two-dimensional Code Technology and Its Application”. 

At present, with the advent of the new era of global digital economy, the global industrial structure will be rapidly transformed from traditional labor and capital-intensive one to intellectual-intensive one, forming a service economy-led industrial structure. The deep integration of “two-dimensional code +” and “intelligent +” has also shown trends of diversification and level shifting of talent demand. The contradiction between the total number of high-skilled talents, their knowledge structure, ability, competency,  requirements for and industrial upgrading and innovation in the global two-dimensional code industry technology and application services has become a bottleneck affecting the rapid development of the global digital economy. Remarkable talent agglomeration effect has enhanced the urgency of the global two-dimensional code industry to cultivate high-skilled and innovative talents. On the whole, existing vocational education and training institutions have not developed a new method of training high-quality, compound application talents that are compatible with the global digital economy adjustment and with innovation ability and high skills as the core.

In view of problems in the demand and cultivation of high-skilled talents in the global two-dimensional code industry, it is necessary to focus on the strategic planning of global development of digital economy; scientifically formulate the goal of engineering technology talent training for two-dimensional code technology and application; improve and innovate the application-oriented innovative talent training system and collaborative innovation mechanism that is in line with the development of the two-dimensional code industry, and characterized with “government promotion, enterprises as the main body, vocational education as the foundation, and close cooperation between schools and enterprises”; fully enhance the development capability of vocational education serving national digital economy transformation and upgrading; and training a large number of high-quality talents with great competency, innovative spirit and innovative ability.

Based on current demand, UTC Global has built a systematic solution focusing on training of talents for two-dimensional code technology and application. It elaborates on the new method from nine aspects, namely training orientation, training objectives, curriculum system, training mode, learning evaluation, faculty, training conditions, management and evaluation, characteristics and innovation, aiming to cultivate innovative application talents that master the basic knowledge of two-dimensional code and key technical expertise, and that an engage in two-dimensional code key technology application development, two-dimensional code application system design, two-dimensional code application project management, two-dimensional code application technology service, two-dimensional code technology and application evaluation, two-dimensional code technology and application promotion sales in related industries.

At the summit, there was also a comprehensive display of basic courses, professional courses, application courses and some rich media courseware resources included in talent training; the training conditions of various advanced technologies such as AR/VR and multimedia interaction; PC and mobile terminal-based online learning cloud platforms and other research results. The two-dimensional code for talent training was announced. People can easily learn courses on the platforms by simply scanning the two-dimensional code, which is very convenient and efficient. According to the relevant person in charge of the Hunan Provincial Service Center of UTC Global, due to limited time, many series of courses, courseware and industry service and application case resources are to be developed, further promoted and improved.
