Representatives of Kazakhstan visit UTC to discuss international cooperation on 2D code

On 17 January 2019, accompanied by Ge Jian, Deputy Secretary-General of the Organization for Eurasian Economic Cooperation; Ruslan, Secretary of the Embassy of the  Republic of Kazakhstan in China, and President of the Association of Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists, Murat Karimsakov; Director of the G-Global International Secretariat Serik N.Nugerbekov and others visited the Unified 2D Code Registration Center, (UTC Global), to negotiate with Zhang Chao, Executive Director of UTC Global, on the 2D code distribution in the country and the international communication and cooperation about it. Chi Jianping, Executive Vice President of ZIIOT, attended the meeting.

First, Executive Director Zhang Chao welcomed the delegates, introduced the global code distribution of UTC Global and the development experience of 2D code industry in various countries. He said that as the core sensing technology of the internet of things, the important entrance to access internet and important means to acquire big data resources, 2D code has been widely used and developed. It plays an important role in the safe and convenient interaction of the international trade and circulation of goods by strengthening the standardization and  normalization of global 2D code technology and industry.IDcode has been adopted by more than 30 countries in the world and UTC China, UTC Korea, UTC India, UTC Canada, UTC Laos and other national code issuing agencies has been established.

Zhang Chao also said that China and Kazakhstan can support each other in framework of "Belt and Road" and favorable to the common development of economy, in particular, it will benefit the enterprises and people of two countries in strengthening the exploration of science and technology, new modes of cooperation in information technology, new projects, and so on. At meanwhile he invited Kazakh representatives to attend the 2019 International 2D Code Industry Development Summit and jointly promote the standardization and normalization of global 2D code identification system.

Ruslan said that Kazakhstan, with its rapid industrial development and developed agriculture and animal husbandry, is a country with large grain exports and mineral resources. He hopes to give full play to the potential of the transport hub in central Asia, and to speed up the pace with international integration in the area of information technology, in the field of 2D code, Kazakhstan should deepen cooperation with UTC Global, adopt the globally unified identification  system (IDcode), to help the development of the national digital economy of Kazakhstan, and jointly promote the national economy along "Belt and Road" and the information interconnection in technical field.
